Taiwan Day 8

It's the day we are leaving Taiwan. Early in the morning we have already booked a taxi to bring us to the airport the day before. We got this nice lady taxi driver from my friend's cousin. If not wrong I think we booked at 5 or 5.30 am because the distance to airport is around 45 mins or 1 hour and our flight is around 9 something. The lady treat us breakfast! how nice~ Although is only sandwiches and yakult, is a special service from her to the customers she said. And throughout the way to airport, she talk non stop with us. My friend who sit in front try to sleep but was waken up by her. Haha. I forgot how much is the taxi fee already. Maybe NT$900. It's a fixed price for all taxi there so don't worry that you are being charged higher.

When we reached the airport, there are many people and we are happy that we went earlier and won't miss the flight as the line was really long. It's like maybe 15 mins or more outside when checking in our luggage and inside when going thru the custom was like half an hour or more. So be sure to go earlier if you don't want to miss your flight.

So that ends my first trip to Taiwan. Hoping for a second one not long later. It is a really great experience and enjoying moments with my buddies.

Taiwan Day 7

Day 7, the journey has almost reach the end. Last day to walk around. For this day, we have planned to go to 阳明山 yang ming san to see the 海芋 flower as it is the season by that time. From xi men ding, we use mrt to 劍潭站 jian tan station, then from there use bus 红5 to go up to yang ming san. Everything was smooth around here but after reaching yang ming san we are a bit lost because yang ming san is too big. I suggest if you wanna go there must book a taxi or else will be wasting a lot of time like us. Waiting for bus and walking for a long time without much direction. Somemore it's raining that time. Luckily we brought umbrella along. Taking photos along the way to make us less tired.

So, don't know after how long of walking we finally reached.

Taiwan Day 6

So, it's the 6th day at Taiwan. We are going to 平溪线 ping xi line (菁桐 jing tong and 十分 shi fen) and 九份 jiu fen today. We head to train station use 台铁 train to go to 瑞芳 rui fang then from rui fang buy the ticket for the train as below to go to 菁桐 jing tong and 十分 shi fen. 

Reminder: 

1. Make sure you have some breakfast before going as we thought that we can buy breakfast from the station but there was none and we are starving before we reach 十分 shi fen.

2. Be sure to take a look at the train schedule once you get down of the station so that you can plan your time and not miss the train.

This train is very full when I go. Not sure is always like this or just some days as many people is going to 十分 shi fen. The train was so crowded that the train is full of standing people but after shi fen, half of the passenger will be gone. One more reason is the train is only available once in one or two hours, that's why most people will try to get in the train once there is a train coming.

Taiwan Day 5

Good morning~ Time to head to Taipei. This time we used Taiwan railway 台铁. It's slower than High speed railway. Takes around 2 hours if not wrong.

While waiting for the train we went to 7-11 to buy our breakfast and we eat in the train. We wanted to get the railway bento 台铁便当 but we were too early they haven't sell it yet so our only choice was the 7-11.

Taiwan Day 4

This is the day we hired a driver for a day. It was arranged thru the owner of the homestay and destination was set by ourselves. It cost us NT$3500. Our places of going includes gong yuan yan ke 宫原眼科, Xin zhi fang ting 心之芳庭, Xin she gu bao 新社古堡, zhong she hua shi 中社花市, and Gao mei wetland 高美湿地 then send us back to Feng Jia. 宫原眼科 is additional added in on that day itself and there is no extra charges being charged. *feeling lucky* We just ask the driver whether it is convenient for him to bring us to 宫原眼科 at the end of the trip, but I think he heard we wanna add it in then he straight away turn the car and go to other direction which was heading there and said go now is nearer when come back is not on the way (不顺路). Then we were like "owh, alright.." thinking *early morning eat ice cream?*. Oh well, just go and leave no regret.

So, here we are. First stop, 宫原眼科.

Taiwan Day 3

On the 3rd day at Taiwan, we had the local breakfast nearby the homestay at a stall just in front of the university. We had the egg roll 蛋饼 and homemade soya bean 豆浆 and bought sandwiches to take away as our lunch. 

After breakfast we head to the Taichung station using bus and bought the package ticket at the station to go up to Nan Tou Qing Jing farm 南投清境农场 cost NT$600 which includes go and return bus ticket and entrance fee of 清境农场 青青草原. 

Taiwan Day 2

We had breakfast at our hotel and took the taxi that the receptionist helped us to book last night to the HSR station. The taxi driver was early. We booked at 7 am and he was already waiting at the hotel around 6.50 am or earlier we don't know because we went down to the lobby at 6.50 am and he was there already. So we quickly grab our breakfast, eat it and off we go to the HSR (High Speed Railway) station. While we are eating the taxi driver put our luggage into the car to save time.

Taiwan Day 1

Day 1:

Once we reached the airport we quickly went to buy the sim card. There are few choices of brand but their price and package is roughly the same so we just get the Taiwan Mobile 台湾大哥大.

 We choose plan D for 7 Days pass with unlimited data usage and NT$150 talktime which cost us NT$500. We need to buy as we need to use GPS to find the places since we are walking by ourselves and just in case if we are lost we can still find our location and we can still contact each other if we are separated.
