Taiwan Day 6

So, it's the 6th day at Taiwan. We are going to 平溪线 ping xi line (菁桐 jing tong and 十分 shi fen) and 九份 jiu fen today. We head to train station use 台铁 train to go to 瑞芳 rui fang then from rui fang buy the ticket for the train as below to go to 菁桐 jing tong and 十分 shi fen. 

Reminder: 

1. Make sure you have some breakfast before going as we thought that we can buy breakfast from the station but there was none and we are starving before we reach 十分 shi fen.

2. Be sure to take a look at the train schedule once you get down of the station so that you can plan your time and not miss the train.

This train is very full when I go. Not sure is always like this or just some days as many people is going to 十分 shi fen. The train was so crowded that the train is full of standing people but after shi fen, half of the passenger will be gone. One more reason is the train is only available once in one or two hours, that's why most people will try to get in the train once there is a train coming.

So, our first stop, 菁桐 jing tong.

There is nothing much here. We just came down to have a quick photo then rush back to the train. The train will stop there for 15 minutes if not wrong, the next train will be 1 hour or 1 and a half hour later, so if u miss this train u will have to stay there till the next train.

This place is popular with the bamboo wishes. You write your wishes on the bamboo, hang it there and hope it will come true. Some people throw up to the tree and if it don't fall down the wishes mostly will come true, that's what they believe. Or may be is some kind of business for the place to get some tourist money. Haha, Kidding~

This is the last stop of the train so it's quite empty. The front part looks like this.

Finally reach 十分 shi fen! We are super hungry! This stall is really really nice! Must try it when you go 十分 shi fen. It's chicken wing inside is wrap with rice. Seriously nice! My friend bought 2 of this for himself while we girls just get one as we wanna try some other food.

This is something like kaya ball kind of thing inside is milk or chocolate. The famous TV show 食尚玩家 (super taste) visited them so we have a try. It's nothing much special for us, just normal not as nice as the chicken wing.

十分 shi fen is a famous tourist place for 天灯 flying lantern. So you will see flying lantern flying up like in every few minutes. Most people come here to do that and most of the shop sell it just beside the train railway. If not wrong all of the flying lantern price is the same so just go to any shop but the souvenir inside the shop is different price so make sure you see few shops first before you buy. The shop around the center one mostly is more expensive then the shop beside where there is less people.

Heading to the shi fen waterfall. There are few types of transport you can use, taxi (fastest but expensive), motorcycle (NT$200 for 1, we need 2 so will cost 400), bicycle (NT$200 for 3), or walk (free but need longer time). In the end we chose bicycle. Long time didn't ride bicycle and felt unstabe at first but seem fine after a while.

To go to the waterfall you will need to stop your bicycle at a restaurant then walk in thru the restaurant. After the restaurant then will see a bridge like below.

Keep walking after the bridge and will see the waterfall after a while.

We had a had time having selfie with the waterfall. Try your skill you when go there..haha..
After the waterfall, we went back to have other flying lantern written and letting it fly. The person who you bought the flying lantern will help you to take photo, is part of their service so don't worry.

After that, we have to use train back to 瑞芳 rui fang station then use bus 1062 or 788 to go to 九份 jiu fen.

Head to this popular 阿柑姨 for 芋圆地瓜圆. Don't know what is it called in English. Definitely MUST TRY when you go jiu fen.

Besides eating nice food, you can also have a nice view to enjoy inside the shop.

After eating, we went to find the famous location of the photo we see on internet. When we type jiu fen, that photo sure will come out. After asking few person and we found it at last. That street is really crowded.

Here it is! but our photo wasn't as nice as the one we saw on internet. Don't know where they take from but we found the place!

A view from the bus stop. Over here we waited the bus for a long time and is really cold and windy at that time. Everyone was rushing into the bus once the bus going to Taipei reaches because the bus takes longer time per trip.

After reaching Taipei, my friends wanted to go and find the LINE shop which is at 新光三越 xin guang san yue. Upon reaching we saw Taipei 101 from far. Haha.

Not sure where and was the LINE store only know is at 3rd floor, so we just went in blindly and look around but didn't see any, then we ask the receptionist and was told is at another block. The place was really big and is not like a shopping mall that can pass through, is like one block one block of shopping center. From the place where we get in, we have to get out of the place and then walk over the road with traffic light then just can reach. And finally found it. 

Looking at the diamond below, I wonder who will buy it.. Should be someone who really loves LINE characters.

So, this is the last time of the day. About our dinner, we weren't hungry when we came down from jiu fen so we only got some food when we went back nearby our homestay as supper.
