To celebrate our 10th year anniversary friendship, we planned for a trip to Penang for 4 days 3 nights. This is the first time 3 of us went for a trip together. Many thanks to Aderine's friend and cousin in Penang who brought us around for the whole trip. It wouldn't be so fun if we didn't have them.
So, here it goes. Starting of first day while waiting for boarding. Two of them were on phone talking while I got nothing to do, so snap snap..Haha..
Got into the plane and ready to take off.
While in the plane, looking at the beautiful clouds.
First stop, snake temple. It was on the way down to the city from airport. Honestly, I didn't planned to visit it at first as I'm afraid of snake but since it is on the way down, I just faced my fear and went in. There's a lot of snake there but you wont see a lot of snake photos taken by me and you know why. haha.
After snake temple, it's lunch time! We went to super tanker to grab for some local food.
Hokkien Mee
Wantan Mee
Loh Mee
Nutmeg drink both black and white
Cha Kueh Tiaw
Maggi Goreng
Going to Kek Lok Si after lunch. We need to buy ticket for the incline lift (RM5 for return, RM2.50 for one way) to see the big Kuan Yin statue. Actually, car go drive straight up to the statue then you don't have to pay this but we didn't know.
That's how it looks like. Just a short distance.
Here we are.
I'm born in the year of horse.
Beautiful scenery up there.
Heading to Hard Rock Hotel then.
A must take photo place when you visit Hard Rock Hotel.
A friendly dog at the beach.
Beautiful beach there.
Swimming pool at Hard Rock.
Us.
The Beatles statue inside the hotel.
Dinner at James Foo Western Food. Cheap and nice western food in Penang. Thumbs up and Recommended!
After dinner, we head to Straits Quay
The boats are the back of Straits Quay. It's a really nice place. Love the environment there. Nice for photoshooting. hehehe.
We are so lucky, we met the "cai shen ye" there.
and he gave us this cute sweets.
Had a fast cup of mashmallow milk at the Huey & Wah cafe at Straits Quay before leaving. They are selling handmade mashmallows with different types of flavours.
After finish drinking, we head for lok-lok as supper at Pulau Tikus.
The lok-lok are put on every tables. We just get and dip which ever we want and they'll count the price by looking at the colour on the stick. Unlike ours, we have to get from the stall ourselves and they cook for us. Sometimes, come to think of it, there may be a hygiene problem as we don't know how many ppl have sat at the table before we do.
And so it ends the first day. Going back home with full of food and photos. Did you notice no photos of hotel? If you did, well, it's because we are staying at my friend's cousin place. haha.
