I had an interesting class today. The subject is called organisation behavior, in general we call it OB. There was a subject which was meant to be taken before we can take this subject but i was exempted by the uni. So i didn't know how that subject was, which is organisation management, OM. As i know, they have assignment which involved the whole class to do it together. I didn't know how it was like because i've never done it before, so when the lecturer mention bout it, i was like a bit blur and only can imagine it.
It was a tutorial class today and this subject does not has final exam but there is an individual essay that make us pass or fail the subject. The first thing when we entered the class was the lecturer check the attendance. After that we were separated into groups randomly by the lecturer. I didn't know anyone there so it's ok for me. Then we sat in groups accordingly and listen to the instruction by the lecturer. She discuss the subject outline and assessments first after we were in groups, then we were asked to discuss our experiences in OM and what have we learn from that subject and what learning can be transfer to this class from that subject and share it with our group members.
So the process goes... We start introduce ourselves because we are total strangers from each other. Then start sharing experiences. I do not know how to share because i never take the subject before so i just listen from my group members. What i can remember is roughly about teamwork, need communication and conflict do happens and a solution has to be made to resolve it. After 15 mins, every group has a representative to share it about what we have discuss in our own group. Then, few more questions were discussed and a person share the opinion in every group.
The fun part comes after the questions were done discussing. We were given 10 pieces of straw and 10 paper clips to design a tower within 15 to 20 minutes and we have to come out with a name for the tower and a slogan. Everyone was like cracking their heads to build it and every group really did came out with their own tower. There were 2 groups ideas was almost the same which is juz like pyramid with 3 sides. My group was the unique one which is the weird one. haha..look like the number "1". The name for the tower was AKKCL i think, which is the first letter of our names and our slogan was "Come live with us, we are ONE!" haha..funny one..After every group has presented their tower and reasons for the design and name, we continued with few more questions which is related to the activity that we have done.
At the end of the class, the lecturer took photos of every group with the tower, don't know why she want it, maybe just for memories..haha..she add up said that she wont tag us in fb..hahaha..so funny this lecturer..And the class ended just like that.
